Prior to 2007 First Lady Melissa Henderson had the vision to create a weekend retreat for women to fellowship together. These annual retreats are centered on women’s matters of their hearts, and help strengthen Christian women, (the saved along with unsaved), along their paths of salvation. 

Today, the First Lady’s vision has grown from a simple retreat, into an organization (Matters of the Heart, LLC) holding strong to their mission, “To transform the concerns of women by spiritual and physical evaluation through biblically based resources!"
